Liposomes are microscopic vesicles that enhance the delivery of cosmetic ingredients such as vitamins and minerals to the skin. Acting as protective carriers, they fuse with skin cells to release their contents directly where needed. Liposomes can carry both hydrophilic (water-loving) and hydrophobic (oil-loving) ingredients, making them highly adaptable. Whether dispersed or emulsified, they provide effective antioxidant protection, skin conditioning, and antimicrobial benefits, all while boosting the stability and performance of active ingredients.

Liposomes are made from lipid bilayers that mimic the skin's natural structure, allowing them to fuse with skin cells and deliver their contents directly where needed. They can encapsulate both water-soluble ingredients within their aqueous core and oil-soluble ingredients within their lipid bilayer, providing a multifunctional delivery system. Depending on the type of active ingredients they carry, liposomes can be small and translucent (dispersed) or larger and more opaque (emulsified).
