Betula alba (commonly known as white birch) is a deciduous tree that grows up to a medium height, anything between 70 feet and 80 feet. The trunk of this tree is silver-hued, while its foliage is attractive and vividly green, which changes to golden prior to falling during autumn. The branches of this species have a somewhat weeping tendency. The growth rate of white birch is moderate.=The unique bark of the white birch tree makes it easy for people to identify this tree. The bark of this tree peels and its texture is akin to that of paper and, hence, is also known as the paper birch.
White Birch is an extract from the bark of the Betula Alba Tree. White Birch is known for its purifying and detoxifying effects. White Birch Bark Extract has also been known to inhibit the enzyme elastase to prevent and correct the loss of elastic fibers responsible for skin suppleness, To stimulate new collagen growth to counter fine lines, wrinkling and sagging of skin caused by photo damage.
